نام اين گُل چيست؟

مجید نفیسی

نام اين گُل چيست

و چه كسي آن را

كنارِ راه كاشته است؟

هر روز كه در تاريكي بامداد

از كنار آن مي گذرم

سرآستينم به بوي خوشش

چنان آغشته مي شود

كه تا مدتي آن را

چون دستَنبويي مي بويم.

شگفت نيست كه پِچپِچَك ها

بر شاخه هاي پُرپيچش مي نشينند

و براي چشيدنِ شهدش

با يكديگر همچشمي مي كنند.

برخي مردم هم

مانند اين گُلَند

سالها پيش به آنها برخورده ام

اما يادشان هنوز

جانم را خوشبو مي كند

حتي اگر نامشان را

به ياد نياورم.

What is the name of this flower

And who has planted it

By the walkway?



Every day in the darkness of dawn

When I pass by its side

My sleeve captures its fragrance

So much that for a while

I smell it like an exotic fruit.



It is no surprise that hummingbirds

Sit on its curly branches

And compete with one another

For the taste of its nectar.



Some people too

Are like this flower.

I met them years ago

But their memories

Still perfume my soul

Even though I cannot

Remember their names.
